Amidst the bustling cityscape of Kolkata lies Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, a beacon of innovative education blending culture with contemporary pedagogy. This institution stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of heritage and modernity in the realm of holistic learning. One of the cornerstones of the school’s approach is its seamless integration of the best educational practices across sectors, offering a curriculum that encompasses ATL labs sitting alongside calligraphy workshops, sustainable gardening projects flourishing adjacent to state-of-the-art science laboratories.
The Academy has taken huge strides in becoming a school that has brought revolutionary changes in the mindset of its stakeholders. The educational program along with a state of the art infrastructure for S.T.E.A.M. is designed to encourage initiative, understanding, and responsibility, along with the 21st century skills. The school believes in sensitizing the students towards social and environmental issues and ways to mitigate them. A school that looks beyond – with a judicious blend of academic excellence and co-curricular brilliance. Students of the Academy secured the winner’s trophy for the fifth time at the International Space Settlement Design Competition, supported by NASA. The school has won the Platinum Award at the International Cyber Fair. At the Education World 2023-24 Rankings, the institute has emerged as Number 11 in India and Number 1 in Kolkata and West Bengal in the co-educational day school category. LSA has also received the ET TechX School Excellence Award by Brainfeed, along with the Indian School Award 2023 for demonstrating exceptional performance in fostering a holistic learning environment, promoting global citizenship and implementing innovative teaching practices. At the World Education Congress Award, the school was awarded as the Most Influential School. At the National School Award 2023, the Academy has been crowned as the Best School with Experiential and STEM Learning from West Bengal at the National level.

"Creating a video on the Tea Culture of Kolkata was an enriching experience. We never imagined something as simple as tea to have so many different layers to it. This activity allowed us to gain insight on the varied culture of tea and how it brings people together. It gave us an opportunity to interact with other people, understanding the social significance of tea. It enhanced our research, teamwork and creative skills helping us express our ideas and share our insights on the tea culture with others.

"The activity enlightened me about what goes on behind the scenes of an event like the LSA Fiesta. Watching the stall managers adapt to unpredicted challenges using their presence of mind, the game and food enjoyers revelling in the presence of a variety of entertainment, and the little smiles burst on children’s faces taught me to do the same and understand the power of the camera.
The interviews and support given by Ma’am Meena Kak, Director of our school, Ma’am Jaya Misra, Principal of our school, and our mentor, Ma’am Sourina Bose also went a long way in guiding our project towards a success."

Through this experience, I have gained valuable skills, including working with ‘Wixsite,’ a highly intricate website-building platform, and integrating it with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS coding.
Additionally, I have learned the importance of teamwork and how each member’s contributions play a crucial role in achieving our collective goals.
