Canteen Calls

We started the planning for putting up these stalls on 19th December. We started by choosing the items we wanted to sell, the criteria being healthy, tasty and simple food items. The dishes we agreed upon were Papdi chaat, Pancakes, Sandwiches and Methi pakodas. We then distributed the ingredients amongst the students and decided upon the dates, which were 8th, 22nd and 24th of January. On 8th January we started preparations for Papdi chat just after the short break. In the long break we started selling and the Papdi chaat (Rs 30 per plate for 5 pieces) sold like hot cakes. We sold it to students, teachers and even to parents of junior classes. On 22nd we sold pancakes (Rs 30 per plate for 4 pieces) and sandwiches (Rs 20 for 1 sandwich). On 24th we made Methi pakoras (Rs 30 per plate for 4 pieces) which were absolutely loved by teachers. The proceeds of this exercise went to the NGO.
